Concentrate on good

What do you notice when you have just met someone for the first time? Is it something positive or negative about that person? Trying to find something good about anything may not always be easy. Well, as with everything else, practice makes perfect.
So, the food that you ordered did not meet your expectations. What about if you focus on the attentiveness and cheerfulness of the waiting staff instead?
A friend who tends to turn up late? Recall the times she remembers your birthday and for being there for you when you need her most.
Disappointed that your spouse didn’t give you an anniversary gift? Remind yourself of the times when they looked after you when you were unwell.
Whilst waiting at the airport, you have just seen that your flight is now delayed for an hour. Why not turn that hour to your advantage? Read a positive mental attitude book, listen to some uplifting podcast, or make those phone calls you have been meaning to do to reach out to your loved ones and friends.
Can you imagine if everything is perfect? Life will become monotonous. Imperfections allow us to grow, and it makes life exciting!
To conclude, there’s always good in everything, but it is up to us to find it. When we do, it brings out the best in life.
